Paper Piecing Projects

We have several projects using paper pieces that you can do as a Block of the Month or buy the packs individually.

Kim's Glorious Garden: The project makes a 90 x 96 inch quilt by assembling 1.1/4 inch hexagons into florettes using an eight inch circle as backing. The pattern depicts a busy fussy-cut design using Kaffe Fassett fabric but a more limited palette using our hand-dyed fabric will be more pleasing. See Kim's Glorius Garden here.

Visible Light: Visible Light uses hexagons, jewels and diamonds to create a dynamic quilt that is all about colour and design. When you buy the starter pack you get the pattern free. See Visible Light here.

Dear Jane: A new take on an old theme. There are 13 rows and you purchase a pack of paper pieces for each row and a 5 additional packs for borders and corners. The completed quilt 85 inches square.  See Dear Jane here

Quilts On the Go: Ideal for quilters requiring immediate gratification. This uses each of the 52 blocks in  Katja Marek's pieced to create 4.1/2 inch hexagons with instruction to quilt as you go. No final quilting required. See Quilts on the Go here

Glorious Hexagons: This is a sampler quilt using the patterns from the New Hexagon book by Katja Marek. Each pack provides papers to make 28 3" hexagons blocks. The booklet gives layout ideas and useful hints for fussy-cutting large-scale fabrics as well as patterns for 2 more pieced hexagons not in the book.   See Glorious Hexagons  here

Millefiore Quilt-Along: A wonderful bold project that uses a range of paper piecing shapes to make a large hexagons which are joined in rosettes to make dramatic quilt 80 x 80 inch quilt.  See Millefiore here
